After defining the corporate design for the russia based company “Competent IT” logically an all-new responsive website was required.
In short, the requirement was to show all offered services and skills, a contact form with location of the company and individual pages for their software products.
Results faster and more effective
With this project I wanted to try a different approach on designing and developing a WordPress website.
To increase the efficiency I immediately developed and realized my ideas while designing them – how?
With the Divi Theme and its integrated WYSIWYG builder both is possible simultaneously!
Custom Styling
To get the perfect working responsive website with all the styles I was pursuing for I had to make a child theme with my own custom CSS.
The breakpoints and media queries of the Divi Theme are pretty good by default, but to get a website that works 100% on all devices some additional queries and behaviors are always required.
Available in english, german and russian
As Competent IT works all around the globe it was necessary to have a multi-language website.
This time the free Polylang plug-in was used to create three individual language versions.
Conform with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
It was clear to make the website conform with the new European data protection regulation (GDPR).
Because not needed the easiest way was to avoid all third-party libraries, do not use cookies and do not use any service of google like google.fonts or google.maps.
The GDPR conform contact form opt-in with description and link to the privacy policy was achieved with Contactform7.
